Terms & Conditions – Glossa Nails

Effective Date: 10 August 2025

Glossa Nails (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates as a studio-based, appointment-only nail salon located at 999 Heaphy Terrace, Hamilton. By booking or attending an appointment, you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions, which comply with New Zealand consumer, health and safety, and beauty industry regulations.

1. Appointments & Bookings

  • All services are strictly by appointment only.

  • A NZ $20 non-refundable booking deposit is required to secure your appointment.

  • Your deposit will be deducted from the final bill on the day of service.

  • At the time of booking, clients are required to provide inspiration photos or ideas for their desired design.

  • A follow-up email or phone discussion will be arranged to confirm service details and provide a final price estimate.

2. Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows

  • 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule your appointment without forfeiting your deposit.

  • Cancellations within 48 hours will result in the deposit being forfeited.

  • No-shows or cancellations within 12 hours of the appointment may result in the full service amount being charged.

  • In exceptional circumstances, Glossa Nails may, at its sole discretion, transfer a deposit to a future appointment.

3. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST where applicable.

  • Final pricing will be confirmed prior to the appointment after consultation.

  • Full payment is required on the day of service by cash, EFTPOS, or approved electronic transfer.

4. Health, Safety & Hygiene

  • Glossa Nails operates in compliance with the Manicure & Pedicure Code of Practice and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

  • All tools and equipment are cleaned and sanitised according to New Zealand health standards.

  • If you have allergies, skin conditions, infections, or medical conditions that may affect your treatment, you must inform us prior to your appointment.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service if there is a health or safety risk.

5. Children & Guests

  • Due to safety and hygiene requirements, children and non-essential guests are not permitted in the treatment area unless agreed in advance.

6. Service Guarantee & Limitations

  • We take pride in providing high-quality nail services and products.

  • If you experience an issue with your nails within 3 days of service, please contact us for assessment.

  • Free repairs or adjustments will only be made if it is determined to be a workmanship issue, not due to client neglect, misuse, or external damage.

7. Privacy

  • All personal information collected is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • We may take photographs of completed nail work for our portfolio or social media, but will only do so with your consent.

8. Liability

  • While all care is taken during treatments, Glossa Nails is not responsible for allergic reactions, irritation, or adverse outcomes resulting from services, where correct procedures have been followed and products used are industry-approved.

  • Clients are responsible for following all aftercare advice to maintain results and avoid damage.

9. Changes to Terms

  • Glossa Nails may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in laws, industry practice, or our business operations.

  • The latest version will be available on our website or upon request.
